Microsoft announced last November that InfoPath will be supported as a client application until 2023. Additionally it was recently announced that InfoPath will be supported with the new version of SharePoint 2016 due out sometime early 2016. What does this mean for you? If you are not using InfoPath, do not start! If you are using InfoPath, then you will have to look at an alternative method to deliver your forms within SharePoint. There are a couple different third party solutions out there that you should consider. Just make sure to think about what feature sets you need for forms before you start checking out the market.
