Avtex and Soltris Join Forces to Create Contact Center Solution Powerhouse |

MINNEAPOLIS- In a move that merges two leaders in call center and IP telephony solutions, Avtex, Inc. of Minneapolis has acquired Soltris, Inc. of Minneapolis. The combined companies will operate as Avtex, Inc. based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The transaction closed June 16, 2003, according to Avtex President Robert Denman. “This combination will bring many new resources and solutions to our customers and provide exciting growth opportunities for our employees,” Denman said.
Combined Strengths in Call Center Technology
AVTEX, INC. has enjoyed a solid reputation in the industry for pioneering telecommunications solutions since 1971. AVTEX is an application and systems integration company, that designs, develops, deploys and supports messaging, contact center and IP telephony solutions that enable organizations to embrace their customers.
Soltris, Inc. has been a leader in computer telephony since the mid-1980s developing innovative custom applications and multimedia solutions for complex communication problems. Scott Colesworthy, president of Soltris, will be leaving the company. "It has been a wonderful 15 years in my life but now it is time for others to take the reins. This will provide greater opportunity for our combined employees and certainly increase our mutual ability to support the existing customers and of course create new customers.
The combined companies will serve over 600 customers including, Minnesota Life, Digital River, Wells Fargo, Creative Memories, Time Warner, BNSF and American Family Insurance.
The new entity will position AVTEX as a clear industry leader in providing multi media contact center solutions. The company has offices in Minneapolis, Des Moines and Milwaukee and is a VAR (Value Added Reseller) for Avaya and Blue Pumpkin, a Microsoft Certified Partner and a Preferred Partner and Partner of the Year for Interactive Intelligence.
AVTEX has a staff of software developers, systems engineers, network engineers, system design consultants, project managers, customer support and field technicians that are trained, certified and specialized in mission critical applications.
