Effort is designed to Connect Employees, Customers and the Community
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., February. 22, 2012 – Today Avtex is announcing a new initiative called AvtexCares. The effort is designed to focus on creating sustained, long-term impact in our community by connecting three stakeholder groups, Avtex employees, Avtex customers, and the community, in a way that benefits each one significantly more.
The endeavor, lead by Khai Tran, Vice President of Community and Corporate Development, will focus on working with the three stakeholder groups to identify opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
“By first focusing separately on each of these components, we can quickly identify their strengths and core competencies as well as potential gaps. We can then concentrate our time where each component intersects the other – connecting strengths of one to the needs of the other,” said Tran, “The real impact will be recognized when we gain critical mass within Avtex's employee base and our combined customers' employee base to help address specific needs of the community."
One of the initial efforts being planned is Project Lin-kij, a multi-media conduit for communities to connect with its services, volunteers, and people in need. The intent is that by leveraging advanced technology coupled with active community involvement, a solution can be created to simplify and streamline the linkages for those who need help to be able to find it and for those who want to help to take action. Project Lin-kij is being developed in partnership with ‘A Better Society’, a local nonprofit organization focusing on strengthening communities through the incubation of new social ideas into sustainable, community-supported programs.
