Description
This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated technologist that possesses infrastructure and SharePoint skills looking for that next technical challenge. The world of .NET and Microsoft Information Worker technologies present numerous exciting opportunities to integrate and extend the SharePoint and Office platforms. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop solutions that involve the following core principles: collaboration, business process management, and enterprise content management.
In addition to possessing a solid technical foundation, you must be able to participate in solution conversations with clients and internal staff and then assist in project development. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in SharePoint technologies, ranging from planning and architecting portal based solutions to deployment of that solution. Project-related duties may include client interaction to define technical requirements, architecting and developing solutions, solution testing, and on-going application support.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation and configuration of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS). In addition to installation and configuration, an Avtex Information Worker IT Pro is expected to be a SharePoint platform expert who can help prepare environments for collaboration, business process management, search, enterprise content management, and business intelligence solutions, as well as align business requirements to features in the platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years experience in configuring and extending SharePoint for portals and collaboration
- 1-3 years experience in Microsoft infrastructure including capacity planning and configuring SQL server farms, Active Directory, and networks
- Microsoft Certifications a plus
- Experience in .NET web / desktop development a plus
- Familiarity with database design and development a plus
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organization skills with the proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

- Strong verbal and written English skill set
