Presence and Availability

Audio/Video/Web Conferencing

Dial-in conferences can be created on-demand or as scheduled events directly from a call (ad hoc) or from Outlook (scheduled).  Full, integrated web conferencing solutions with easy, “one-click” scheduled or ad-hoc desktop sharing.  Integrated video conferencing for internal/external users, with support integration with many room-based systems.  Conferencing works with both internal users and Internet-based users.

Integrated Voicemail in Outlook

With Exchange 2010, organizations can replace their existing/legacy voicemail with a true Unified Messaging (UM) solution.  With Exchange UM, users can receive their voicemails in Outlook, web browsers and smart phones, making it easy to manage messages.  The voicemail messages also include a speech-to-text translation of the message in addition to the audio, allowing users to review messages before listening.

Dynamic Voicemail Handling

Voicemail greetings are integrated with features like Outlook Out-of-office, allowing for automatic activation of the appropriate greeting, and automatic return to normal greeting as set via the schedule.  In addition, advanced call handling rules allow for contact-specific greetings and response options.  With this feature, users can allow specific callers to transfer to their cell phones or other personnel.

Solution Story - Crew Dispatch

The Crew Dispatch solution from Avtex automates the time-consuming task of gathering response teams for emergencies, allowing organizations to profile the number and skill requirements needed, and then let the system find the people to meet the needs. Once the incident is profiled by the dispatcher or requester, potential responders receive an automated call out from the system, and are prompted to confirm their availability and, optionally, ETA for arrival.  Dispatchers have access to a real-time status of the team assembly process, as well as ad-hoc reporting and SharePoint integration options for post-incident review.
