Avtex: Octel Life Cycle Announcement

Avtex is notifying you formally of Avaya’s
recent Life Cycle Milestone announcements for the Octel 200 and 250/350 and an update of previous announcements for the Octel 300 Serenade Platforms. The announcements are based on a 5-year plan.

End of Sale for the Octel 200/300 & 250/350 Platform & Octel 200/300 Upgrades
Effective June 30, 2006, Avaya will no longer sell new Octel 200 and 250/350 systems or upgrades. End of Sale for the Octel 300 Platform already took effect on October 6, 2003. End of Sale for Octel 300 upgrades is June 30, 2006.

End of System Expansions for the Octel 200/300 & 250/350 Platform
Sale of additions and expansions on both the Octel 200 and 250/350 and Octel 300 will be supported until June 30, 2007.

End of Support for the Octel 200/300 & 250/350 Platform
Avaya will provide manufacturer support for the maintenance of the Octel 200 and 250/350 systems, subject to a specific system’s release status, through June 30, 2011. After this date, Avaya may choose to provide some level of extended support, which will be evaluated based on future parts availability and other factors. The date for end of manufacturer support on the Octel 300, which was originally October 6, 2008 has been changed by Avaya to June 30, 2008.

Avtex will continue to support the Octel 200 and 250/350 product through June 30, 2011 and the Octel 300 product through June 30, 2008 at which time we will assess the feasibility of continuing support past that date.
